She's an interior designer, and artwork is always on her radar. Maybe she'll come by your garage sale as well - art stuff and recycled stuff, how could it get any better?Terry https://www.blogger.com/profile/12128153098834209943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875619683420726540.post-49015912231760517702008-09-26T23:38:00.000-07:002008-09-26T23:38:00.000-07:00Hey Terry! How ironic your daughter lives so close ...Hey Terry!
How ironic your daughter lives so close to me! I am on Queen Anne Hill which is a stones throw away from Greenwood. In fact I have two shows on Greenwood right now as we speak! If she is interested, you should have her swing by the Neptune and Makeda Coffee shops - pictures of the shows are just a few posts below this one...
Oh and the cracks are with a special crackling paste made by Golden (modified a bit my me).Jennifer Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13668323141814274096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875619683420726540.post-16855731934840820482008-09-26T23:35:00.000-07:002008-09-26T23:35:00.000-07:00OH MY GOSH! Love your landscapes, great color and texture. What are you using for the ground that creates the wonderful fissures?

Congratulations on your upcoming move - very exciting to have a big studio AND a view. Are you up on Phinney Ridge? My daughter lives near Greenwood and 84th - I love that whole area.

Bert cracks me up :-)Terry https://www.blogger.com/profile/12128153098834209943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875619683420726540.post-74974427582597973072008-09-23T23:49:00.000-07:002008-09-23T23:49:00.000-07:00Thanks guys!I love working on canvas actually. I love how soft I can get the brush strokes...
There is something about how the texture and the mini size of the little ones goes so nicely. The texture often becomes part of the trees or a subtle suggestion of roots... something that I can't quite replicate in my larger work.
Yeah, now that we have a bigger house, comes a bigger debt, so I may have to get a job again in the near future... I hope I don't have to go that route!Jennifer Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13668323141814274096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7875619683420726540.post-37442740668154212192008-09-23T15:27:00.000-07:002008-09-23T15:27:00.000-07:00I love your paintings! Can't imagine how many thick layers of paint must go on to get that type of effect. Or maybe it is just how you prepare your panel so well. Haha. Also, nice selections for your color palette.

Have you ever tried working on primed canvas?Andy C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13704567731212115434noreply@blogger.com
